Our History
The Ara Project stands as a heartfelt tribute to our beloved friend, brother, and fierce advocate for both the Christian and Armenian communities. Our mission embodies his legacy of compassion and service, guiding our efforts to uplift those in distress.
Inspired by Ara’s unwavering faith and belief in the power of collaborative action, we embarked on a journey to impact the lives of the less fortunate significantly. Our vision, though simple, is profound: to offer a helping hand to individuals facing hardship. We strive to provide resources, opportunities, and hope, addressing challenges with empathy and resilience. Our initiatives encompass delivering essential aid and promoting health, education, and spiritual well-being, all steeped in the values Ara held dear—his love for his heritage and steadfast devotion to God Almighty.
Through our initiatives, we strive to honor the enduring spirit of Ara Baran, recognizing the lasting impression he has made on our lives and the lives of others.
For over 20 years, our devoted group of friends from the international community has united with a shared commitment to supporting struggling Armenian families and children in need. Our collaboration with the Endanik School in Gyumri, located in Armenia's Shirak Region—it’s second most populated city—has enabled us to identify and assist families in distress. We take pride in the positive outcomes of our past projects and look forward to partnering with the school leadership amidst the current refugee crisis.
